PDF files are produced by taking a "snapshot" of any page in virtually any program.

The snapshot is made with a program called Adobe Acrobat Distiller.

The snapshot file which retains all font, graphic and layout details of the original can be read with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The reader program is free from Adobe.

Click on the yellow button below to aquire the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Once you have downloaded and installed the reader on your computer double click on any PDF files and the file will open and you'll see the page just as the author created it. You can zoom in on the details and you can print the file but you can't change it.
